Austin Rammell, Lead Pastor
Austin Rammell came to Hardin Baptist Church in October 2002 from the Florida Baptist Convention where he served as the Director of the Student and Personal Evangelism Department. It was at the early age of eight that he made a public profession of his personal faith in Jesus Christ. A native of Hampton, Va., he was blessed to grow up in a wonderful Christian home and a dynamic local church. After graduating from High School he went to Virginia Tech where he played football and focused on majoring in Engineering and Urban Planning.
However, after two years at VT God led him to transfer to Liberty University where he continued to play football and graduated in December 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Religion with a concentration in Pastoral Studies. He then stayed at Liberty as a Graduate Assistant to the President of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (Dr. Danny Lovett) where he earned a Masters of Arts in Religion by May 1998. He is currently working on a Doctorate of Ministry in Leadership from the same institution. Austin has preached all over the country in student camps and conferences, churches, evangelism rallies, crusades and other events as well as planned, organized and led a variety of different ministries and events.
His two most significant passions in ministry are to preach the Word and lead
ministries that reach and grow people in Christ as well as equip them to be on
mission with Christ to make disciples of all people!
He has
been married to his wife Keri since July 3, 1999. In April of 2006 God gave
them their first child.
