life groups

Venture Life Groups exist to help move people past the doors of a building into an active life of discipleship, community, evangelism and mission.  They are the vehicle of assimilation at Venture. We believe one of the most important aspects of the Body of Christ is Community.  Life in Christ is not intended to be lived alone, but rather God designed us to be meaningfully connected to other believers within the Body of Christ!  However, spiritually driven relationships can’t occur by simply attending a worship gathering with ton’s of people, that’s why we challenge everyone to get plugged in to at least one of our Adult Life Groups:

Home Groups:

We believe this is the best platform we have to truly get connected with other followers of Christ.  Home Groups generally meet in homes on a weekly basis.  Most groups meet on Sunday nights but there are groups who meet on different nights of the week.  Some week’s groups meet just to hang out and have fun, other weeks to work together to meet a tangible need in the community but at least twice a month they meet for a Biblically based spiritual discussion.  Many groups review the Sunday AM messages and the specific things God is speaking to them about, other groups study a book together, others use video resources, etc.  Every group has a life of its own because every group is a growing community of believers that are building genuine relationships with each other that’s inviting for others to join in with them!

Sunday AM Groups:

Sunday adult life groups meet at North Gaston High School at 9:30 and 11:00 am.   These are classroom style groups that study different topics and books of the Bible but are small enough in number that a person can get to know and interact with other believers.  These groups strive to take people deeper into the Word of God and help one another respond to that knowledge with life application. You have your choice of COED, Men, and Women Life Groups.  For a detailed list of Sunday Life Groups please contact Brenda White at brenda.white@daretoventure.org and for more information on the programming at NOGA check out the Children’s Ministry Page and the Student Ministry Page.

Wed Night Groups:

Our Men’s Ministry and Women’s Ministry lead these life groups.  They meet on the Hardin Campus every Wed Night at 6:30 and are divided up by male and female so the context of the groups come from a male and female perspective.  Simultaneously, every Wed night we provide nursery along with a Preschool program, Children’s Program and High School/Middle Worship Gathering.

Venture Academy:

Our desire for you is to confidently know where God wants you to be and do what He wants you to do.  Venture Academy consists of 2 classes offered to help you discover God’s plan for you at Venture.

Venture 101 is a one day class where our Lead Pastor introduces you to Venture. It covers our doctrinal beliefs, purpose and structure.  You will learn what is required to partner with Venture and what is expected of you if you do partner.   This class is offered on designated Sundays and Wednesdays.  There are activities for children at this time also.

Venture 102 helps you discover your God-given design and how to plug into ministry according to your God-given design.  After this class you will have and opportunity to participate in a one-on-one ministry involvement interview scheduled at your convenience, to further assist you. The goal is to encourage believers to be…

“...in Christ, the whole body fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.”  Ephesians 4:15-16
